Condolences
Prayers to Mr Wheelers famly. Mr Wheeler was a gentle kind soul that touched everyone he met. I just learned of his passing but that is par4the course...as a Nortwestern student-I quickly learned the he would stop and give me a ride to scool when I missed my assigned bus. I & many others could always count on him.God speed.
I met Orville when I taught in Girard and he was a substitute teacher. He was the kindest, most gentle soul, and I knew that my students would be in good hands when he taught in place of me. Mrs. Wheeler, I remember seeing you both in Walmart one day not too long ago and was so glad to see you both. Donnie, I hug you all in my heart. I had a meeting in Chatham the day of the visitation and had hoped to get back to see you and your mom. I almost made it but the weather slowed my return. Your dad was someone I will always remember during my years in Girard. May God's peace that passes all understanding surround your whole family. in the days ahead.
Mrs. Wheeler and family, Sending our condolences in the passing of Mr. Wheeler. My husband and I are graduates of Southwestern and had the privilege of having Mr. Wheeler as a substitute teacher. He was the best! He was such a happy, kind and caring man. We loved his story telling and hearing him play the piano. He truly cared for his students and even remembered us many years later. What a blessing to remember such a wonderful man. Praying for your family during this difficult time.
With caring thoughts,
Bryan and Trish (Orban) Kitzmiller
Sorry to hear of your loss. I loved having the family as neighbors years ago. Use to walk with Orville on occasions, but he walked so fast it was hard to keep up and I was 24 years younger. He was a special guy. God's blessings to the family.
Dear Leigh Ann, Dwayne and Your Family,
My condolences to all of you for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers to help ease your pain during your bereavement.

NWHS grad of 1970. So sorry to hear about Mr. Wheeler’s passing. All our prayers and condolences to Mrs. Wheeler and family. I will forever be grateful and indebted to his teaching in business and keyboarding. From the manual typewriter to the PCs the everyday skills that he gave us have been used every day.
God bless you all. His smile when he played the piano to his encouragement in the classroom will always be remembered. May the Lord comfort your hearts and bless and keep you. The Roemer’s, Art and Ella May
Orville was one of the sweetest neighbors I have ever had. He lived behind me when I lived in Girard. Fly high Orville. You have earned your wings.
Sorry but we are unable to attend the funeral. We met him at Union Chapel when we would sing there. Prayers to the family and friends
He was a great man. He taught men to be men and women to be women and boys not to flip a girls bra strap or you get a swat or two or three. I still remember the accordion concerts he'd give us as well as a teacher that could drive a school bus. We had a bad fourth grade teacher and he taught us what a good teacher was supposed to be. I am glad to have had him as a teacher. He loved his family and would teach you in a way no other would. Love is what I remember most. Thanks Mr. Wheeler.
I am so sorry for your loss and I am praying for Mrs. Wheeler and their children. Mr. Wheeler was an awesome man. He and my grandfather use to be really good friends and he was also my 5th grade teacher at Shipman Elementary. He was a joyous man who stayed smiling and loved to tell us stories about his son's Donnie and Dwayne. He has truly lived a blessed life and has gained his wings. He loved, cared for, helped and respected all he came in contact with.
Sorry for your loss, prayers to you and the family though this difficult times. I remember him bringing me a horse and telling me to make sure I take good care of it. Mr. Wheeler was my favorite fifth grade teacher and a wonderful one as well, he will be truly missed.
We are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Wheeler taught all of our kids in Shipman and they all send condolences. He was a wonderful teacher and great Christian influence to all his students and everyone he met.
Orville was certainly one of the best!!! I enjoyed seeing him at the Hettick Fish Fry! Our Northwestern area was special to him. Prayers to all of you!!!
