Condolences
I just got my Carlinville paper, and was saddened to read of Bob's death. My heart goes out to Nina and Robert, Jr., as I thank God for Bob and Gerrie, who were virtual fixtures of the Methodist Church as I grew up there. Bob did not seek recognition, but he was always there, and was a worthy role model. I will never forget being in the children's choir with Gerrie as our accompanist; nor will I forget the "dime store" that was so important to Carlinville and the square before Walmart arrived! He was also very kind to my mother when she worked there briefly. Nina and Robert, I pray God's richest blessings on you in the days ahead. I would be glad to hear from either or both of you via email.
My deepest sympathy for the loss of Bob. I got to see him every Veterans Day in the nursing home with the Elks. I told him we were neighbors on High St. and he remembered. Always jolly.
Sending our sincere sympathies to the Bob Bremmer family. Seems as if we have known Bob all our lives. Always loved his sense of humor and his wit. He was a kind, generous, and fun loving man. He will be missed by a great many people. Jim and Nancy Schien
