Condolences
Julia, my sympathies go out to you and your family. Roger is in a better place now and there is no more pain. Paula and I always admired Roger because he never gave up on dancing when it would have been so easy to do so and he had such an upbeat attitude about life. All of us at Prairie Land will miss him.
Julia, I was so sorry to read of Roger's death. He was one of my favorites. When I first came to the State, he was losing his site, and I said we will get him whatever computer he needs to stay productive. As you are well aware, he grew with the new computers, and I was so proud that he was able to help at the school for the blind. You and he were always so kind and friendly every time I saw you. I love you both. I'm so sorry we're leaving on vacation tomorrow and we will miss seeing you in Girard. Every prayer and blessing go out to you both.
Julia, We always enjoyed sharing dance times with you and Roger at PLDC. We have no words to take away your pain of loss, just know you are in our prayers and remember how much Roger always made us laugh! We love you.

Julia, It's been a joy to have been Roger's friend. He never seemed to meet a challenge he couldn't overcome, no matter the tests put in his way. Many's the time i marveled at his ability to get out on the dance floor with all his PLDC dance friends and keep right up! He inspired us all in so many ways. We will all miss his smile and sly wit. And your friends, who also so admired your role in an ever changing lifestyle, will always be here to laugh and cry with you. Bless you and your family, and may the memories live on and on. We'll all do-si-do again together some day, and Roger will lead us then.
Dear Julia,
You often spoke of you husband with great joy, pride and love. You always had great stories to share of your trips and dance team performances. I never knew he had a disability until the day he went to work in a bright pink sleep shirt instead of the normal white. However, instead of dwelling on it, you made a joke of it. You loved your husband for who he was, not what he was, atrue rarity these days. Bless you.
Roger was an amazing co-worker. His integrity, his lack of self-pity and his knowledge were such a witness to who all who worked with him and those who met him. Roger never was involved in a conversation of any length without somehow working in what a terrific wife and wonderful sons he had. He was the epitomy of a "family" man who shared his faith. God is with all of his family as He welcomes Roger home.
