Keith E. Collins, 79, of Girard, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville, IL.

Keith was born March 26, 1945, in Newport, Rhode Island, a son of Eli and Lucy Collins. Keith graduated from Girard High School with the class of 1964. He married Jane Myers on June 19, 1965, in the First Baptist Church of Girard.

Keith had been employed by Bell Telephone, the family business of Girard Home Oil Co, in Girard, and then Dickey-John where he was currently employed as a production operator for 17 years.

Keith loved being with his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was active in the Girard United Methodist Church and was the Methodist Men's Treasurer. Keith enjoyed golf, gardening, watching hummingbirds, and especially loved rooting for the Cardinals, Packers, and the Illini.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, 4:00 -7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL.

Burial will follow in Girard Cemetery, Girard.

Keith is survived by his wife, Jane Maye Collins of Girard, IL, daughter, Dr. Kim Collins (Joe Murphy) of Champaign, IL, daughter, Kris (Darrin) Lancaster of Edwardsville, IL, 3 grandchildren; Quinton Murphy, Kennis Murphy, and, Ella Lancaster, sister, Paula (Larry) Mouser of Girard, IL, brother in law, Don (Louise) Myers of Springfield, IL, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Memorial may be made to Girard Fire and Rescue or the Girard United Methodist Church.
