James A. "Jim" Ward, 69, of Carlinville, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at his home.

Jim was born December 10, 1954, in Carlinville, IL, a son of Elmer W. and Alethea "Pat" (Patton) Ward. Jim graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1972. He was never married.

Jim was a past member of A.B.A.T.E. At one time, he worked for Wild Surveying as a surveyor's assistant. He previously worked for Scott Wild as an auto mechanic and body repair. He also worked on his own and spent much of his time working on his Harley, BMW, motorcycles, and hot rods. He had always loved to fish and hunt. Jim was also owner of The Wright Place in Carlinville.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Elmer W. Ward, mother, Alethea "Pat" Ward, sister, Mary Micklus, and brother, Michael Ward.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, 10- 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am, Monday, December 16, 2024, at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, with Cliff Woodman presiding.

Burial will follow in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Carlinville, IL.

Jim is survived by his brother, Ed Ward of Carlinville, IL, brother, Joseph Ward of Cheyenne, WY, 6 cousins, numerous nieces, nephews & great nieces and nephews.

Jim's family requests memorials be made to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, Inc., 57 Country Place, Springfield, IL 62703.
