Obituary of Jackie Ann (Chaney) Edwards

Jackie Ann (Chaney) Edwards, 74, of Carlinville, IL, previously of Puyallup, WA, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, at her home in Carlinville, IL. Jackie was born June 27, 1950, in Tokyo, Japan, a daughter of CMS, Jack B. and Anna Mae Chaney. She married John P. Edwards on September 12, 1969, in Enterprise, AL. She graduated high school from Terra Haute, IN. She worked as an antique dealer for many years. She was the proud mother of 2 boys. She loved cooking, gardening, and being outdoors. Very near to her heart were her German Sheppard dogs, Maggie and Max. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, LTC John P. Edwards, son, COL John A. (Karen) Edwards, M.D. of Olympia, WA, son, LTC Bryan D. (Dannielle) Edwards, of Hattiesburg, MS, and sister, Linda Chaney, of Santa Clara, CA.as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on November 9, 2024, from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be held in a National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to National Pancreatic Cancer Research Foundation. Davis-Anderson Funeral Homes, LTD, Carlinville, is in charge of arrangements.
