Robert L. Watkins, 87 of Girard, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Hallmark Health Care in Carlinville, IL.

Robert was born September 10, 1936, in Loneport, KY, a son of Catte Watkins. He married Linda Fultz on July 18, 1978, in Girard, IL.

Robert's friends called him "Roob". He drove a truck for Prairie Farms and was a mechanic most of his life and could fix just about anything. Robert enjoyed watching ballgames. Everyone that knew him would say he had a spunky personality.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Catte Watkins, and spouse, Linda Watkins.

Burial will follow at a later date in Girard Cemetery, Girard, IL

Robert is survived by his son, Joseph (Annette) Watkins of Deltona, FL, daughter, Diann (Jim) Opremchak of Auburn, IL, and son, Kendal (Angela) Watkins of Port Orange, FL, 5 grandchildren, brother, John (Mary Lou) Lutz of Girard, IL, and sister, Ruby (Larry) Baker of Girard, IL.
