Condolences
Cathy and Bob, my deepest condolences to you! I graduated with Larry and have many memories of classes we had together. He was always so friendly to me and didn’t care if I was popular, or not! Always talked to him at our class reunions and he had grown up to be a great man! Same with your dear sister, Debbie, she was a great friend, too. I’m praying your sweet memories will sustain you in the days to come. Praying for peace that passes human understanding!
A sad day for the class of ’76. When you think of Larry, it is always with a smile in your heart.
Another sports memory to go along with Pat Dufner’s…in junior high basketball back in the days of lightweight and heavyweight classes, Larry was a heavyweight when we were in 7th grade. At Pawnee towards the end of the heavyweight game, Rawley Farris put a hard and unnecessary foul on Bill Proctor that put Bill on the court and shaken up. Coach Seiler looked down the bench at Larry and just asked “Do you want him?”. Larry had fire in his eyes as he stormed to the scorer’s table to report in. Then Coach Seiler had second (and probably better) thoughts and returned Larry to the bench. But that was Larry…always ready to stick up for his buddies.
R.I.P, friend and classmate. Lots of happy memories from those school years. Justteen
I can’t help remembering a school baseball game when we were playing Chatham and it was the first time we had faced a pitcher with a real curveball, 9th inning the pitcher had a no hitter going and Larry begged coach to let him in. Larry got the only hit. He will be missed
Larry and I worked together at Bob Ridings up until his passing. He helped me through my own fathers passing with stories of his losses and how it gets better. And for that I can never thank him enough. I’m truly going to miss you brother. We all love you at the dealership, and it’s going to feel emptier without you. Rest in peace, brother. You’ll always have a special spot in my heart!
Cathy and Bob, I’m so heartbroken. Your family was like my second family growing up as neighbors and I am so sorry and saddened about Larry’s passing. I will always remember his love for music and how knowledgeable he was about the artists and songs. Doug & I were so happy to get to visit with him when he sold our daughter a vehicle some years back. He still made us laugh with his funny personality, yet he was quite the professional car salesman and did his job well. It was like we’d seen each other often over the years and we enjoyed seeing him again. I can only imagine what deep grief and sadness you are experiencing after losing another sibling after the recent passing of Deb plus your niece. I will continue to pray for you both, asking God to give you strength and peace during the days and weeks ahead. During this difficult time I hope knowing your friends are lifting you in prayer will bring you a bit of comfort. I keep envisioning George and Loretta reuniting with Larry Dean and Sissy and that makes me smile. May your good memories sustain you both. Love you dearly, Mary Richardson Neff
Oh, Deno!! I have lots of fun memories growing up together. The middle school basketball game when you told Coach Seiler you rather finish your snickers candy bar than go onto the game! And I have never known anyone with more music trivia knowledge than you. You've been a good friend to me for many years. Rest in peace Deno!!
