Obituary of Alberta Lucille Damm

Alberta Lucille Damm, 80 of Carlinville, passed away Tuesday evening, November 29, 2022, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. Alberta was born February 18, 1942, in Palmyra, IL, a daughter of Ralph F. and Dorothy (Guilander) Burrell. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, son, Kenneth Damm, sister, Mary Nance and brother, Carl Burrell. She had worked at several area nursing homes as a cook. Albert loved her cats and other animals. She once had a kind of a pet possum that she fed daily along with raccoons and any other creature that came visiting. She loved to put puzzles together and cook for her large family. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Friday, December 2, 2022 at the funeral home with Rev. Cliff Woodman officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Palmyra to be buried next to her son. Alberta is survived by her daughter, Cindy Hartline of Carlinville, IL, son, Lindell Damm of Carlinville, IL, son, Lonnie (Angie) Damm of Palmyra, IL, daughter, Rhonda (Andy) Solomon of Palmyra, IL, son, Kerry (Tammi) Damm of Irving, IL, daughter, Shannon (fiancé Carl Albracht) Damm of Palmyra, IL, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, sisters, Ruby Pocklington of Palmyra, IL. and Ann Frye of Carlinville, IL, brothers, Keith Burrell of Carlinville, IL and Marion Burrell of Carlinville, IL.
