Obituary of Donnie McMurrary

Donald L. McMurrary Jr., 67 of Carlinville, Illinois passed away Monday evening, July 25, 2022, at his residence. Donald was born December 15, 1954, in Springfield, IL, a son of Donald L, Sr. and Marilyn L. McMurrary. He married Mary Mullens October 18, 1977 in Hettick, Illinois. The simple pleasures of life brought great joy to Donnie. Whether it was playing with his grandchildren, spending time with his family, spending time with friends at The Moose, or enjoying the outdoors while fishing, mushroom, or ginseng hunting, he always had a smile on his face. He was quick to offer a helping hand to anyone he could and donated his fish cooking skills to the Moose for years. He had a natural ability to find happiness in his daily activities and loved to joke around and laugh with all he spent time with. Donald was preceded in death by his father, Donald L McMurrary, Sr., daughter, Dawn Renee McMurrary and brother, David McMurrary. There will be no services. Donald is survived by his wife, Mary McMurray, mother, Marilyn L. McMurrary of Riverton, IL, son, Daniel McMurrary of Petersburg, IL, son, Josh (Andrea) McMurrary of Wentzville, MO, sister, Debbie (Bobby) McMurrary, sister, Cheryl Faugust, sister, Jackie Betz, brother, Tim McMurrary, sister, Naci Bierman and several nieces and nephews.
