Obituary of Nancy A. Wallner

Nancy Ann (Roller) Wallner, 76, of Carlinville, formerly of Chesterfield, passed away at Carlinville Rehab and Nursing Center in Carlinville on Monday, June 20, 2022 after battling cancer. She passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends. Nancy was born on April 20, 1946 in Greenfield, Illinois. She was the only child of Roberta (Brooks) and Kenneth Roller. After graduating from Greenfield High School in 1964, she married Barry Wallner in 1972 and they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 15, 2022. Barry and Nancy had one daughter, Jennifer, of Springfield. She was a wonderful mother and devoted wife. Nancy loved her cats, word searches, flowers, crafting, friends, antiques, drag racing, ‘57 Chevys and more. She was known all around for her 4-H blue ribbon award winning baked beans. Nancy and Berry owned and operated the Sears Catalog Store in Carlinville from 1988 until Sears closed all their catalog stores across the country. Services are through Davis-Anderson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the Cross Church, 1030 West Main in Carlinville, on Friday, June 24th, from 4pm - 7pm. The funeral will be Saturday, June 25th at 10am at Cross Church, with Rev. Tim Rhodus officiating. Burial will be at Chesterfield Cemetery, with a lunch to follow at the Chesterfield Community Club. Memorials are suggested to either Adopt-A-Pet or the Cross Church.
