Condolences
As a fellow artist, Kris was generous in sharing her watercolors and drawing table with me once she could no longer use them. I am amazed by her talent and persistence. She also was kind enough to talk to me about my mother who had macular and ways to better assist her. I hope they have a cure soon. It is a hard road to go on.
Bob and Julie,
I worked with your Mom at University of Illinois Extension in Sangamon County for many years. Kris was a very creative person when completing work projects or programs or while creating her own personal art work. I have a beautiful water color painting of a western scene that she painted. It has and still does hang in my sewing room. Kris loved snow and this painting features falling snow. I will continue to cherish it. My sincere sympathies to you and your families. May memories of good times carry you through this sad time. Peace be with you. Barbara McDonough
The Springfield community will be less kind without her works. She was an artist who left many beautiful and powerful images behind. All things considered she had a streak of goodness in her, of which I was one to benefit. She will be missed.
