Obituary of Bob Duncan

Robert F. Duncan, 81, of Carlinville, Illinois passed away Wednesday evening, January 27, 2021, at his residence. Bob was born in Palmyra, IL, a son of Floyd and Cleo (Morehead) Duncan. Bob graduated from Northwestern High School with the class of 1956. On July 18, 1959, he married Patricia Faye Rosentreter, and she passed away January 29, 2010, almost 11 years to the day as Bob. Bob enjoyed his job at Prairie Farms Dairy in the maintenance department and retired in 2004 after 27 years of service. He loved his family and grandchildren and in years past had a passion for farming, hunting, fishing, and carpentry. His family enjoyed his cooking, especially his oatmeal raisin cookies. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter-in-law, Margaret, brother-in-law, Ed Reznicek, brother-in-law, John Rosentreter, and grandson, Daniel R. Duncan, Jr. Private Funeral Services will be conducted, Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, Illinois with Randy Duncan officiating. Bob is survived by his son, Daniel R. (Cindy McClain) Duncan, Sr. of Chesterfield, IL, son, David John (Sara Range) Duncan of Carlinville, IL, daughter, Lori Ann (Mike) Schmidt of Carlinville, IL, grandchildren; Kristine, Dawn, John, James, Sydney, Bailey and Marley, four great-grandchildren, brother, Ron (Cordie) Duncan of TN, sister, Barb C. Reznicek of CA, sister, Diane (Bhikkhu) Mahinda of Springfield, IL, several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Concord Primitive Baptist Church.
