Obituary of Inez Nelson

Inez Nelson, 90, of Carlinville, passed away on Friday morning, January 15, 2021 at Carlinville Rehab and Health Care in Carlinville, IL. Inez was born on July 20, 1930 to William and Mary (Bilbrey) Warren in Wayne County, MO. She married Les Bray in Carlinville in 1954 and they later divorced. In 1976 Inez married Udell Nelson in Carlinville and he passed away in 1991. Inez worked as a house cleaner and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Carlinville. Inez is survived by her son, Steve (Donelda) Bray of Greenfield, IL; daughter, Mary Bray of Carlinville, IL; three grandsons, Shane Bray, Craig Bray and Drew Spade; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Brockmiller, as well as a sister, Juanita (Leroy) Bridges of Carlinville, IL. Inez was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and four sisters, Evelyn Oller, Shirley Caudle, Patsy Warren and Peggy Costello. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 11:00 am at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Carlinville, IL, with Rev. Cliff Woodman officiating. Memorials are suggested to Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 135, Carlinville, IL 62626 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
