Clarence "Kip" Reynolds Jr., 93, of Virden, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Sunrise Manor in Virden, IL.
Kip was born on November 10, 1927 to Clarence and Daisy (Gaines) Reynolds in Virden, IL. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and married Mary Lou Jones on April 10, 1955 in Girard, IL.
Kip worked for Sangamo Electric Company in Springfield, IL for 24 years. When he retired from Sangamo he went to work as a custodian for Virden High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sheering sheep early in life.
Kip is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Lou Reynolds of Virden, IL; two sons, Michael (Debra) Reynolds of Girard, IL, and Robert Reynolds of Virden, IL; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, and a sister, Edith Smith of Virden, IL.
Kip was preceded in death by his parents, son Mark and four siblings.
Private family graveside services will be conducted at Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Modesto.
Memorials are suggested to the Macoupin county Animal Shelter.
