Obituary of Gloria Ann Snow

Gloria Ann Snow, 78 of Girard, passed away Friday evening, October 9, 2020, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. Gloria was born February 28, 1942, in LaPorte, IN, one of nine children born to Leroy and Melba (Hoops) Owings. Gloria graduated from Lanphier High School with the class of 1960. She married Charles W. Snow Jr., August 10, 1963, in Springfield, IL and he passed away April 17, 2005. Gloria was a stay at home mom raising her four children. Her true passion was reading any chance she could. She also enjoyed cooking, baking anything that was sweet and watching all the old police dramas. Her grandchildren were her top priority. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister; Shirley Owings, brothers; William and Michael Owings. Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Union Chapel Cemetery, rural Girard, IL where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Gloria is survived by her daughters; Carol Ann (Phillip) Hall and Kathy Jolene (Norman) Boaz both of Girard, daughter, Kerri Liane (David) Burris of Glen Carbon, IL, son, Eric Charles (Summer) Snow of Edwardsville, IL, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sisters; Rosalie Holmes, Brenda Cordier, Sharon Fairclough and Deborah (Greg) Brown all of Springfield, IL and sister Patsy Diles of Quincy, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
