Obituary of Lynn Weller

Lynn Weller, 69, of Alpharetta, Georgia, formerly of Girard, Illinois, died on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at his home, surrounded by family. Lynn was born August 3, 1951 in Springfield, IL, the son of P-nut and Ruth Darlene (Boehler) Weller. He married Linda Gecewicz on November 19th, 1993 in Morristown, TN. They were happily married for 26 years. He graduated from Girard High School in 1969 and UEI Louisville in 1971. Lynn worked at Weller TV in Girard with his dad for 20 years and was with Phillips Magnavox for 17 years. Lynn was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, was quite the handyman, and was known to be a pit master. Lynn was loved by many friends and family and will be truly missed for his contagious personality. Lynn is survived by his wife Linda Weller of Alpharetta,GA; parents, P-nut and Darlene Weller of Girard, IL; son, Dustin (Michelle) Weller of Atwater, IL; daughter, D’Lynn (Clint) Helton of Virden, IL; 4 grandsons, Josh and Alex Weller, Carter and Grant Helton; 2 sisters, Connie Weller and Myona (Weller) Thoron; 2 nieces, Kayla and Erika Thoron. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th at 11:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Girard, IL, with Rev. James Palakudy, officiating. Burial will follow in the Girard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of Mass at the church. Masks and social distancing will be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either The National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation in Lynn’s name at NPCF.US or to the Girard Fire Dept.
