Leola Mae Jacobus, 102 of Girard, IL, passed away Wednesday evening, August 5, 2020, at Heritage Health Care, in Carlinville, IL.
Leola was born June 13, 1918, in Carlinville, IL, a daughter of Mack and Emma Bell Bates Belk.
She married Lucia Jacobus Jr., May 18, 1946 in Carlinville, IL and he passed away, February 23, 1980.
Leola enjoyed taking care of the house and her husband and spent alot of her time tending to her flowers outside.
Leola was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Hazel McElfresh and brothers, Leo, Claude and Earl Belk.
Private family graveside service will be conducted, Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville, Illinois, with Rev. Richard McElfresh officiating.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband.
Serving as pallbearers are Richard McElfresh, Connor McElfresh, Nick Velten and Jeff Flowerree.
Leola is survived by her 2 nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
