Joann V. Rose, 80 of Girard, IL, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 28, 2020, at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville, IL. Joann was born February 17, 1940, in Thebes, IL, a daughter of Clarence and Helen Miller Loeschner. She married Walter R. Rose, September 26, 1954 in Corinth, MS and he passed away March 13, 2007. Joann retired in 2002 after 30 years of employment at Dickey-john in Auburn, Illinois. She loved computer games, fishing and camping. Her home was always well manicured on the outside as she enjoyed gardening and yard work. Joann was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers; Bob and Frank Loeschner. Graveside Services will be conducted at 10:30 am, Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Virden Cemetery, Virden, Illinois. Burial will follow in Virden Cemetery, Virden. Joann is survived by her daughter, Joni (William Tony) Fuiten of Pawnee, IL, son, Tony R. (Cindy) Rose of Girard, IL, 5 grandchilldren, 3 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Janie Loeschner of MO, several nieces and nephews including Bob Loeschner who she thought of as a son and several cousins.
