Obituary of Becky Courtney-McClain

Becky Sue Courtney-McClain, 65, of Girard, passed away Sunday morning, March 15, 2020 at her residence in Girard, IL. Becky was born on March 21, 1954 to William Perry and Betty (Semon) in Cincinnati, OH. She graduated from Ross High School in Ross, Ohio with the class of 1972. Becky retired from the Illinois Secretary of State office in Springfield as a supervisor. She was a counselor for Women Helping Women for several years. Becky loved and taught swimming, as well as body building. She won 2nd place in Miss Cincinnati in 1984. Becky also enjoyed sky diving and had well over 500 jumps. Among all other things in life, Becky was a very "classy lady". Becky is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Josh) Bounds of Carlinville, IL; Fiancé, Dean Price of Girard, IL; sister-in-law, Patty Perry of McAllen, TX; niece, Christina Perry, and a nephew, Doug Perry, Jr. Becky was preceded in death by her father, William Perry; mother, Betty Hatcher, and a brother, Douglas Perry, Sr. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home in Girard, with Deacon Denny Baker officiating. Burial will be held in Girard Cemetery. The family has requested that memorials be made in accordance to the donor's choice. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard is in charge of arrangements.
