Obituary of Gene Lippold

Eugene F. Lippold, 79 of Carlinville, passed away Thursday morning, February 27, 2020, at Carlinville Area Hospital. Eugene was born September 16, 1940, in Carlinville, IL, a son of Herman P. and Virginia (Bellm) Lippold. Eugene graduated from Carlinville High School. Eugene married Margaret Ann Skelton on May 25, 1971 in Carlinville, IL Gene owned and operated Lippold Construction in Carlinville and ALby Quarry in Alton, IL. He was a lifetime member of Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carinville, IL Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 am, Wednesday,March 4, 2020 at Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Haag and Deacon Scott Joiner offering the Mass. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Carlinville. Eugene is survived by his wife, Margaret of Carlinville, IL, son, John Lippold Moore of Chicago, IL, daughter, Debra (Lance) Miller of San Antonio, TX, granddaughter, Hannah Miller of Portland, OR, brother, Gerald (Ann) Lippold of Carlinville, IL, brother, Richard (Janet) Lippold of Carlinville, IL, sister, Mariann Qualls of Carlinville, IL, sister, Rita (Rodney) Arnett of Carlinville, IL, sister, Barbara L. Brunk of Carlinville, IL, sister, Linda (Henry) Ahrling of Plainview, IL, brother, Bill Lippold of Florida, sister, Karen (Scott) Joiner of Florida, Several nieces and nephews.
