Condolences
He was a good man. Sometimes that simple statement is the best thing to say when everything will be an understatement.
I still think of Bernie often yet its been well over 30 years since I last saw him. He was Chief Engineer in Chicago at 26 when I first met him. He gave me the "ok" to be hired at Milwaukee to bring Ch 58 on the air. He'd come up and help me out from time to time, more with dealing with the owners than the equipment. (That's what we all needed the most help with.) He had a gentle spirit to him and a good sense of humor at just the right times.
I'm late to the party here in my condolences but I just got news of his death all these years later and wanted you to know about just one more life he touched in such a special and good way. He was indeed a good man and I will remember him fondly for as long as I live.
I am very sorry for your loss, May the" God of all comfort" 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 brings comfort to your family during this difficult time. Again my condolences.
My sympathies to Bernard's family at this time.
He and his sister Lou Ann were my Carlinville cousins.
I have many fond memories of them both.
They will be missed immensely.
My prayers for his family.
I wish to extend my deepest symphony to all of Bernie's family. I feel honored to have gotten to know Bernie better after he and Rose returned to Carlinville. He was a delightful man and I will miss him. I will keep Bernie and Rose in my prayers and take comfort in knowing they are now re-united in Heaven.
I am so sorry to hear that Bernie has passed away. I would have been at the visitation and the funeral had I listened to the radio. Bernie & Rosie were my landlords for a short time. They were just wonderful. In the summer we used to sit outside & visit & Bernie loved to talk about his days in Chicago at the radio station. He enjoyed telling about his rehabbing work also. That was really interesting talk. He was such a kind hearted person. He worked at the KC Fish Frys as long as he could & everyone loved having him back there. What a sweet guy! His family was sure good to him. My sincere condolences to the family.
The Brother Knights of St. Margaret Mary Council 11091 send condolences and pray to the Lord, that those who die still live in Your presence, their lives change but do not end. Bernie now stands before our Lord, may God Bless him.
I am so sad to know my long time colleague Bernie has passed away. I pray and hope Rosie is waiting to meet Bernie up in heaven. Bernie was a forthright gentleman and very caring guy through all the years. I had the pleasure of interacting with him for over 30 years. I can not help to know he will be missed. God Bless Bernie & Rosie
Love Peter Zomaya
My sincere condolances and prayers to to Hoelting family at this time of loss.
Well done faithful servant, well done.
I am so glad and blessed to have been able to know and love "Uncle B". What a guy! I will cherish the times we spent together and remember our supper trips. He will always hold a very special place in my heart. I love you Uncle B! Now you and LuAnn have both won the race. Well done faithful servants.
Bernie was a great coworker. He was a positive influence throughout the time we worked together and we enjoyed a good laugh from time to time. Thank you for being you........
