Jill and family,
Twas just a few weeks ago that we were all having an evening meal at the Opera House in Palmyra and I fondly remember you and Rick setting at the bar, having a cold one, having a good time, laughing, and almost acting like newlyweds. You guys had it right, from the very beginning. What great memories !!!

When I think of Rick McCaherty, and ALL the rest of the McCahertys. I immediately think of the 3 F's - FUN, FRIENDS, and FAMILY ORIENTED. I can still remember all those great times listening to Rick and Clyde at Soloman's Garage in Palmyra, laughing at their jokes and stories. I never saw any McCaherty that wasn't upbeat and cheerful.
May God bless Rick's soul and the entire McCaherty family. Love, Larry and Donna

I am so sorry for your loss. Rick will be missed by many! His amazing skills as a creative craftsman were only exceeded by his sense of humor. I was lucky enough to live in two houses he helped build. He was also on my speed dial for who else could solve house maintenance issues. He never let me know what a pain that was.... We will miss an all-around good guy!

So sorry to hear of your loss. Have memories of Rick in his early years - high school and that era. My late husband, Greg, who went to school at Northwestern always had good things to say about Rick. One of my first memories of Rick is when the Palmyra group of guys used to frequent Virden on the 'Island' and at the dances in Girard. He always was a friendly guy with a smile on his face. Prayers for his entire family! God's comfort is right there, reach out for that every minute.
I was so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He was a great guy. I remember him being a great neighbor when I was a child. And even as I grew up and moved away I would see him once in a while when I would come home, and he always had a smile and wanted to know how I was doing. I am sorry for you Jill, your children and grandson, what a sad loss.
