Obituary of Donna Kay Morgan

Donna Kay Morgan, 70 of Brighton, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 7, 2018, at her residence in Brighton, IL.

Donna was born February 1, 1948, in Carlinville, IL, a daughter of Clarence and Ruby (Chism) Gwillim.

Donna was a graduate from Carlinville High School with the class of 1966.

She worked for Alton Boxboard Company for several years before taking a job at Olin Powder Mill in East Alton, IL. Donna loved to garden, read and have her cat at her side. Donna's passion was tending to her sons's Scott every need to ensure that his quality of life was all that it could be. She was actively involved in "Special Olympics" helping the handicapped. She loved to work hard and her labors showed it.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Earl, Alfred, Dale and infant Floyd and infant sister, Carol Gwillim.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018, 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville

Private burial will take place in Charity Cemetery, rural Carlinville.

Donna is survived by her sons, Brian Christopher Morgan of Alton, IL, and Scott Timothy Morgan of Wood River IL, brother, Jerry (Joyce) Gwillim of Bonne Terre, MO.

Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House.
