Condolences
Cathy & Family,
My sincere sympathy to you & your entire family on the passing of your father. Bill was friendly, personable, & a positive asset to the entire community. His caring for & devotion to your mother during her final years was truly inspiring. May his dear & blessed soul rest in peace.
I knew Bill Pranger when I was a Freshman and Sophomore in Carlinville. He lived just down Plum Street from my grandmother. He helped me in Boy Scout activities with the Fireman merit badge and other activities dealing with the Fire Department. My sincerest condolences to the family. Bill Gaston
Good bye my friend.
You are greatly missed already but you are with the Lord and your wife Dorothy now, in a place much more beautiful than you could have ever imagined. We who are left in this world truly envy you because your journey is over and we still have to encounter many struggles before we reach our final destination. As you said many times, dying is just a part of life but now we must grieve your passing and believe me Bill it is very difficult.
Please pray for us as we pray for you.
Love,
Your Friend John
I send my love and prayers. Your Dad was a very dear friend (and cousin). I won't be able to attend the services, but I will be thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers.
To Bill, Barb, and family,
Very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. May God wrap all of you in His loving arms and give you comfort, strength, peace, and loving memories.

I was so shocked to hear the sad news. I always knew Bill but never got to really know him until he came to Heritage. He always stopped me in the hall and had a talk with me. Even the very last day he stopped me & held my hand and we talked & laughed. He told me how good he felt. So I am thankful he went quickly and happy. What a guy! I am already missing him! My prayers go out to all of you. I know how hard it is to lose your parents.
So sad and rather sudden, but so thankful that he was really just ready, and so thankful that I and my little family got to have a good visit with him just in early July. He will be so missed. It feels like a chapter in my life is over now knowing that we will never be in or at their house again. Love that there are 9 great grand children and one on the way too! We are so blessed. I am so sad that I can not be there for the services to hug all my family. Huge hugs of the heart from Arkansas. Love you all.
I was saddened to learn of the loss of Bill. He was our mail carrier when I was younger, and Jan was one of my classmates in school.
Most recently he and my father enjoyed visiting at their table during meals at Heritage. He was always interested in how things were going, watched out for Dad if he was having a bad day, and would always ask me how he was on the days Dad didn't got to meals. He was very caring and concerned. Will miss his laughter and conversation.
