Obituary of Lester L. Snow

Lester L. Snow, 63, of Virden, passed away Monday evening, March 26, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Lester was born on July 7, 1954 to Charles Sr. and Barbara (Walker) Snow in Springfield, IL, and married Linda Boggs on December 20, 1975 at the Christian Church in Virden. Lester was self employed and was skilled in concrete finishing and home building, working for 46 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and landscaping, spending time with his family, and making people laugh. Lester and his brother Butch owned and operated Snow Brothers' Construction, Inc. and were contracted by the City of Taylorville for 17 years. Lester is survived by his wife and soul mate of 42 years, Linda Snow of Virden, IL; three daughters, Laura (Joe) Ulery of Virden, IL, Lindsey (CJ Call) Snow of Virden, IL, and Leanne (John) Harbour of Rochester, IL; 5 grandchildren, Trenton, Chase, Clayton, and Josie Ulery, and Bronson Harbour; brother, Timothy Snow Sr. of Palmer, IL, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Lester was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Fred, Charles "Butch", and Donald Snow, and a sister, Patricia Snow. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery, rural Girard.
