Obituary of JoAnn Hartley

JoAnn Hartley, 85 of Oviedo, FL, formerly of Girard, IL, and Naperville, IL, passed away on August 20, 2017.

JoAnn was born on February 2, 1932 in Girard, IL, a daughter of Kenneth and Hazel (Redman) England.

In 1953 JoAnn England graduated from Silver Cross Hospital nursing program in Joliet Illinois. She married Douglas Metz and raised 4 children in Naperville Illinois. She was a homemaker who loved to decorate, go antiquing, and cook. Whatever she touched was made beautiful. Later in life she married her high school sweetheart James Hartley, moved back to Girard and then on to Florida where she lived in The Villages near her children and grandchildren.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 11:00 am at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Mausoleum of Valor.

JoAnn is survived by her children; Kimberly A. Brown, Jill A. Hettinger, Mark D. Metz, Robin L. Carroll, step-children; Danny, David, Patty, Matt Hartley, 6 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren, and a brother Richard England.
