Obituary of Brenda Louise Pocklington

Brenda L. Pocklington, 66 of Standard City, IL, passed away Monday afternoon, October 2, 2017, at her residence with her family by her side.

Brenda was born March 6, 1951, in Springfield, IL, a daughter of Robert and Lillian ( Morgan) Wise Sr. She was one of thirteen children born into the Wise family.

Brenda graduated from Girard High School with the class of 1969.

Brenda loved gardening, canning and spending time with her large family and especially her grandkids.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, previous husband;Clinton, sisters Sharon Miller, Lynda Wise and Darlene Wise.

Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, October 5, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 pm, Thursday,October 5, 2017 at the funeral home.

Brenda is survived by her companion, James "Jim Bob" Combs, son, Joshua J. (Heather) Wise of Springfield, IL, daughter, Jennifer (David) Miller of Standard City, IL, step-son, Thomas (Sally) Pocklington of Harristown, IL, step-son, Chad (Jody) Combs of Carlinville, IL, step-son, Todd Combs, O'Fallon, MO, grandchildren; Kirstan (George) Luttmann, Grace Miller, Taylor Miller, Florance Wise, great-granddaughter, Willow Luttmann, several step-grandchildren, brother, Michael (Debby) Wise, Sr. of Jacksonville, IL, brother, Robert (Julie) Wise, Sr. of Golden, IL, brother, Dennis (Karen) Wise of Girard, IL, sister, Deb Wise of Girard, IL, sister, Maggie (Rick) Filson of Palmyra, IL, brother, Tony (Kathy) Wise of New Bern, NC, sister, Cindy Swift of Hillsboro, IL, sister, Angie (Ron) Stevens of Virden, IL, brother, Steve (Sheryl) Wise of Girard, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Macoupin County Relay for Life.
