Obituary of Louis M. Bouillon
Louis M. “Bud” Bouillon died on Wednesday, July 5, at 1:36 am at Carlinville Rehab. He was born on October 28, 1929, in Honey Point Township, the youngest child of William and Rocelia (Rathke) Bouillon. He married Betty R. Karrick on April 30, 1949; she survives.
He retired from Monterey No. 1 Mine in Carlinville in 2004 after 20 years employment. Previous employers included the Alton Boxboard and MJM Electric Service Co-op.
He was a charter member of Cross Church in Carlinville and served for many years as a Sunday school teacher and deacon. He had many interests and talents, including woodworking, fishing, bowling, softball, gardening, and reading. His great loves were God and his family.
Survivors include his wife; children - daughter-in-law Sandra M. (Hollis) Bouillon, Carlinville; Michael R. (Mila) Bouillon, Clovis CA; Robyn A. Bouillon, Carlinville; Jody L. (Jeanne) Bouillon, Gillespie; and Timothy J. (Alta) Bouillon, Carlinville; grandchildren - Brian (Rachelle) Bouillon, Carlinville; Jamie Wing (fiancé Kim Rogers), Carlinville; Kyle (Sarah) King, Oconomowoc WI; Tamara Wing, Carlinville; Erin Bouillon, Gillespie; TJ Bouillon, Carlinville; and Madeline Bouillon, Carlinville; great-grandchildren Dane and Megan Bouillon and Andrew Hawk, all of Carlinville; several step-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; one sister, Pauline Jennings, Springfield; and sister-in-law Janet Watson, Gillespie. His parents, oldest son, Mark S. Bouillon, a brother and 4 sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is scheduled Friday, July 7, from 9 to 11 am at Cross Church, 1030 West Main Street, Carlinville, with the funeral immediately following at 11 am at the church Interment will be at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Route 4 South, Carlinville.
