Obituary of Judith Cody
~Judith Cody, 68 of Virden, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Auburn Rehab in Auburn, IL.
Judith was born May 5, 1949, in Springfield, IL, a daughter of Myrle and Dorothy(Ward) Cody.
She graduated from Virden High School, with the class of 1967.
Judith retired after 30 years at the Mansion View Lodge as a night auditor. She loved to read, travel, play bingo and enjoyed her family's company.
Judith was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Virden, IL
Judith was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL. Prayer service will be recited at 4:45pm on Wednesday.
Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Virden, IL
Burial will follow in Virden Cemetery, Virden, IL.
Judith is survived by her sisters, Betty (Carl) Doering of Nunica, MI, Patricia (Steve) Sprouse of Springfield, IL, Mary (Dale) Kelley of Girard, IL, brothers, Bill (Amy) Cody of Virden, IL, and Bob (partner,Robert Sauter) Cody of Springfield, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
