Obituary of Kenneth Raymond Stiltz

Kenneth Raymond Stiltz, 78, of Carlinville, left this world to rest for eternity in the arms of his Jesus, surrounded by loved ones and family on Sunday afternoon, May 7, 2017. Kenny as he was know by, was born on May 17, 1938 to Raymond and Marie Belle (Gumm) Stiltz in Springfield, IL. He grew up and lived his entire life in the community of Tallula, IL where he graduated high school with the class of 1956. Kenny served in the United States Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He was married to Nancy Pittman Stiltz, and adopted two sons. That marriage ended and Kenny found his high school sweet heart and married her. He and Patricia Ann (Munson) Price were married on October 9, 2010 at Lake Williamson in Carlinville. Ken was a retired truck driver and farmer. He and his brother Darryle owned and operated Stiltz Trucking Company. Ken was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Tallula, IL, served on the Emergency Fire Brigade and Ambulance in Tallula and the First Assembly Church of God in Carlinville. His passion was farming and driving his truck. Ken is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Stiltz of Carlinville; two sons, LeRoy (Sharon) Stiltz and Vernon Stiltz both of Springfield, IL, 4 step-children, 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, as well as a brother, Darryle "Butch" (Gwen) Stiltz. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Shawn Stiltz. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at First Assembly of God Church, Carlinville, IL. Funeral services will follow at the church with Rev. Steve Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Cemetery.
