Sorry for your loss. Jim and I served on the Lewis and Clark Library Board together. I have many found memories of those times. Mary you may remember our much delayed trip to ALA in San Francisco. Thoughts to your family.
Jim was an appreciated and supportive Library Board member. I loved his humor, wry wit , and pithy comments. Thanks for his many years of service. Susan Lucco, former Director of Lewis and Clark Library System.
My prayers for strength in the coming days. He was one of the teachers that impacted me to become a teacher! RIP Mr. Fenton, your spirit lives on in the lives you touched.
Jeff, Maria, Michael, & Alex,
Our sincere condolences to your family during this time. You will be in our prayers.

Mr Fenton was one of the best teachers. He didnt just teach a class and move kids thru. He cared about us. And i loved his wit. He touched generations of carlinville kids. We were blessed to have him. He will be missed!
We extend our sincere sympathies in the loss of a unique man in the lives of Jim's family. He made friends far and wide in his many service efforts in Carlinville and nearby communities, as well as state-wide and national projects. He will be missed by many.
Jim & Nancy
I always enjoyed Mr. Fenton's classes. He came across as a "no-nonsense" kind of guy, but you could always tell there was an underlying sense of humor and fun that was barely under the surface. He is certainly a part of the many fond memories of growing up in Carlinville. His many contributions to the betterment of the community are a lasting tribute to his character and dedication to education.
Thinking of Mr.Fenton and family. Great man great people. Rest In Peace
To Mary, Eric, Jeff and the entire Fenton family, Louise and I extend our condolences at this difficult time. Jim Fenton will be remembered for a very long time as a teacher who made a real difference in the lives of the students at Carlinville High School. On a personal note, we are pleased he was able to see his beloved Cubs win a World Series during his lifetime.
Eric and Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Please know the entire family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Fenton was one of my favorite teachers in high school. He was also a dear friend to my mom and they shared that gym classroom space for many years. I always remember laughter and good times between mom, Mr. Fenton, and Marcy. I hope they are all reunited and sharing some fun stories! My thoughts and prayers to all your family
