I'm not sure if you remember me as it's been many years since I've seen you. My wonderful grandmother, Alice Holmes, was friends with your wonderful grandmother Esther (who I remember fondly as a very sweet lady who made the best pies). We met when I worked at DCFS and you would visit your mother. I also came to your house several times with Karen Daily.

Anyway, I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my son Charlie two months ago and know too well the agony of losing a child and my heart goes out to you. I will not be able to attend Nick's Celebration of Life (Sept. 17 is my son's birthday and I may not even get out of bed that day) but you and your family will be in my thoughts and on my heart.

I, too, was touched by Nick during my time at CHS. He could run circles around me and chuckle the whole time he was doing it. My prayers to the family.
