Obituary of Phyllis Ersery-Osborne

Phyllis Pearl Ersery-Osborne, 83, of Girard, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 25, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard, IL. Phyllis was born on April 27, 1932 to Carter and Nora (Drew) Ersery in Girard, IL. She married Jesse Quinton Osborne on September 6, 1951 in Alabama and he survives. Phyllis was homemaker and mother, raising seven children. She was a loving mother and enjoyed Christian music, roller skating, cooking, softball, watching sports and NASCAR. She was also a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Georgia. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jesse Osborne of Girard, IL; daughter, Marie (Gene) Skeen of Sebastian, FL; daughter, Judy (Steve) Pugh of Joanna, SC; son, Jerry (Mary) Osborne of Locust Grove, GA; son, James (Debbie) Osborne of St. Cloud, FL; daughter, Janice (Scott) Bokanyi of Woodstock, VA; son, Jeff (Stacey) Osborne of Chicago, IL; daughter, Jill Diane Osborne of Girard, IL; 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and 1 grandchild. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon, November 29, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning, November 30, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Chaplain, Terry Link officiating. Burial will take place in Girard Cemetery.
