Obituary of Paul "Mac" Felmet

Paul "Mac" Felmet, 87 of Nilwood, IL, passed away Friday afternoon, September 11, 2015, at Carlinville Rehab Center. Paul was born September 14, 1927, in Olney, IL, a son of Paul M. and Nellie Jayne Hunley Felmet. He married Vivian E. Cain, April 9, 1948, in Nilwood, IL and she passed away June 1, 2003. Mac was a barber from 1954-2013 in the Nilwood and Girard area. He sold advertising for Newton Manufacturing for over 45 years and passed his business on to his granddaughter. Mac was a member of the Nilwood Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Mac was a past member of the Masonic Lodge. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul M. Felmet, mother, Nellie Jayne Felmet Wolf, wife, Vivian E. Felmet, son, Darrell Felmet in 1969. Visitation will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home 226 North 3rd Street in Girard. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the funeral home with Brothers Floyd Hendricks and Mike Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Girard Cemetery, Girard, IL. Paul is survived by his sons, James Leroy (Wanda) Mayfield of Girard, IL, and Terry W. (Margaret) Mayfield of Raymond, IL, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brother, Robert E. (Chloe) Felmet of Springfield, IL, brother, John (Sherry) Wolf of Vermont, brother, Charles (Susan) Wolf of Texas, half brother, Bill Phran, Waupun, WI, companion, Beverly Katzmarek of Girard, IL.
