Obituary of Donna Pauline Bridges

Donna Pauline Bridges 66, of Scottville, died Monday, August 24, 2009 at her daughters residence in Nilwood. She was born Friday, May 14, 1943 in Jacksonville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Stewart) Jackson. Donna was bookkeeper for Jackson Farms in Virden, retiring in May of 2007 . Donna was a member of the Prairie Heart Baptist Church in rural Scottville. Donna and Dale loved gardening and traveling together. She helped remodel houses and refurbish antique tractors. She also enjoyed cooking. Donna graduated from Franklin High School class of 1960. Survivors: companion, Dale D. Smith, son, Paul Bridges (Patsy Ann) Nilwood, IL, daughter, Mary Sue Ulery Palmyra, IL, daughter, Lisa Connelly (Allan) Nilwood, IL, daughter, Angela L. Bridges Alvord, TX, several step-children, 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several step- grandchildren and grea-tgrandchildren, sister, Shirley True (Roger) Nortonville, IL, sister, Joyce Schofield-Jackson Nortonville, IL, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother: David Jackson. Funeral Information Family and friends may call from 11:00 A.M.to 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 27 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Panther Creek Cemetery in rural Scottville, IL.
