Ruth Louise (Gass) Wilson

Ruth Louise (Gass) Wilson, 87, of Girard, died Friday, January 8, 2010 at Carlinville Rehab Center.

She was born Tuesday, April 4, 1922 in Virden, IL, the Daughter of Clyde and Lillian( Smith) Gass. She married Willard Myril Wilson in Virden, IL on May 1, 1940 and he died in 1987.

Ruth was a homemaker and retired nurse who had worked for Carlinville Area Hospital.

She taught Sunday School at the Baptist Church in Baylis, IL. Ruth was a talented seamstress, gardener and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors: Son, Willard W. Wilson (Sharon) of Virden, IL, Son, Lenard L. Wilson (Bonnie) of Springfield, IL, Son, David R. Wilson of Mississippi, Daughter, Carol A. Wright of Girard , IL, Daughter, Deloris Wilson of Girard, IL, Son, Michael D. Wilson (Cyndi) of Girard, IL, Son, Donald G. Wilson of Girard , IL, Son, James E. Wilson (Tammy) of Nilwood, IL, 19 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren, Sister, Esther Quinn of Virden, IL, Brother, Gordon Gass (Mary Jane) of Edwardsville, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Parents, infant brother & sister Kenneth L. and Kathryn Wilson, brother Phillip Paul Wilson, and two grandchildren. Funeral Information

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Monday, January 11 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home.

Burial will be in West Cemetery in Thayer. Donations Information
