Obituary of Carl D. Warren

Carl D. Warren of Carlinville, IL passed away on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 1: 35 A.M. at Heritage Manor in Carlinville. He was born September 17, 1923 in Taskee, MO to Charles & Jenni (Frailey) Warren, who preceded him in death. Carl was married for 62 years to Dora Jean Fitzgerald. They were united on October 11, 1946 in Cottage Hills, IL. He worked as a pipe fitter for the Olin Corporation in East Alton, IL for 30 years, retiring in 1982. Surviving include his wife, Dora, Daughter, Dixie Heyen, husband Dennis of Maple Valley, WA; Sons Jeff Warren, wife Julie of Champaign, IL and Mark Warren, wife Paula of Rochester, IL. Carl also had six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, Carl was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Carl fought in France and Germany in World War II receiving the Purple Heart and a bronze star. Carl was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Jackson, MO. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held, Wednesday 12:30 P.M. March 25, 2009 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Friends and family may call from 10:30-12:30 the day of the service.
