Obituary of Mitchell Willis Wagner

Mitchell "Mitch" Willis Wagner 35, of Carlinville, passed away Tuesday morning, May 10, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital. Mitch was born February 21, 1976 in Platteville, WI, the Son of Curtis Scott Wagner and Mary Kay (Elmer) Berry. Mitch married Tarea Belcher at Blackburn University in Carlinville on May 22, 2004. Mitch was a 1994 graduate of Carlinville High School and attended SEMO, Eastern Illinois University and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Mitch was a salesman for Niehaus cycle sales in Litchfield for the past five years. He loved golfing and coaching his son's little league team and being with family and friends. Mitch was an avid sports fan, especially for the Wisconsin Badgers. Mitch is survived by his wife, Tarea Melissa Wagner of Carlinville; son, Aiden Wagner at home; mother, Mary Kay Berry (Dan) of Carlinville; brother, Matthew S. Wagner of Carlinville, grandmother, Lucille Elmer of Monticello, WI; aunt, Carol Neu (Larry) of Arvada, CO and cousins, Chris and Lindsay Neu of Arvada, CO. Mitch was preceded in death by his father, Curt S. Wagner in 2005 as well as two grandfathers and one grandmother. Funeral Information Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, May 12 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ with Rev. Kevin Strope officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery in Carlinville.
