Obituary of Evelyn Mae Voyles

Evelyn Mae Voyles 69, of Girard, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April 25, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Evelyn was born on July 24, 1942 to Roy C. and Catherine (Krager) Boehler in Girard. She was a graduate of Girard High School, class of 1960. On May 13, 1961 Evelyn married Earl Voyles in Virden and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Evelyn owned and operated Voyles Tax and Bookkeeping Service for 40 years. She was the auction clerk for Glenn Karrick for 11 years. Evelyn was also the secretary for Bruce Webb Insurance in Farmersville. Evelyn's first love was her family. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, as well as the Altar and Rosary Society. Evelyn was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's and Illini basketball fan. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and playing with her grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Earl Voyles; 2 sons, Jeffery E. Voyles of Girard and Greg (Cammy) Voyles of Long Valley, NJ; 2 daughters, Theresa (Pat) Fuchs of Chatham and Angela (Gary) Bingenheimer of Chatham; 11 grandchildren, Andrea (Cory) Bridges, Virginia and Zachary Voyles, Nick and Craig Fuchs, Jacob and Sarah Bingenheimer, Harrison, Gregory, Francesca and Catarina Voyles; 2 brothers, John Boehler of Girard and Allen (Carol Ann) Boehler of Atwater, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL with a prayer service conducted by Deacon Frank Mayernick at 2:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Girard with Rev. Chris House and Deacon Frank Mayernick officiating. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery, Farmersville, IL.
