Obituary of Rebecca Joann Tucker

Rebecca Joann Tucker 44, of Girard, passed away Sunday evening, September 5, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born Monday, September 6, 1965 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald B. and Shirley J .( Miller) Tucker. Rebecca was the Valedictorian of her Girard High School class of 1983 and graduated from Illinois State University with a double major in mathematics and economics. She was a reimbursement accountant for Memorial Medical Center in Springfield for 22 years. Rebecca was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Girard and the Alter-Rosary Society. Rebecca enjoyed children, crafts, reading, flowers, sewing and especially loved animals. Rebecca enjoyed giving to family, friends and her church. Surviving her are parents, Gerald B. & Shirley J.(Miller) Tucker of Girard, IL, brother, Scott Tucker (wife Kelly) of Middletown, IL, brother, Chris Tucker of St. Charles, MO, grandmother, Mary Miller of Girard, IL, nephews Cody & Ty Tucker and niece Kaitlyn Tucker. Funeral Information Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, September 9 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 10, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 742 West Madison Street in Girard with Rev. Darin Zehnle. Burial will be Girard Cemetery.
