Ola L. Tate 100, of Hettick , died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Friendship Home in Carlinville. She was born Saturday, July 23, 1910 in Hettick, IL, the Daughter of Oscar and Cora (Ladley) Clevenger. She married Leroy Tate in Alton, IL on June 15, 1929. They celebrated 70 years together in 1999. Ola graduated from Hettick High School in 1929. She was a homemaker as well as a clerk for the local post office. Ola was a member of the Friendship Club, worked with the 4-H Club, Hettick Community Club and was a very tallented seamstress. Survivors: Daughters, Joyce Cooksey, Donna Sonneborn (Bill), and Pat Clark (Lloyd), all of Hettick, IL, 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy, her parents, one brother, Thomas Clevenger, and her son-in-law, Leslie Cooksey. Funeral Information Visitation: 9:00 to 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 6 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. James Allen officiating. Burial: Hettick Cemetery in Hettick, IL Donations Information Memorials may be made to the Hettick Cemetery.
