Rosie E. Stutzman (Sherry), 84, of Carlinville, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Carlinville Area Hospital.


She was born in LaGrange, Missouri on October 28, 1925. Rosie married Francis "Frank" Sherry in Reno, NV in 1947, and he affectionatly called her "Starr". Rosie attended Carlinville Schools and completed High School in Crestwood, Kentucky, in the same class as her son Joe.

Ironically, Rosie and her son Frank shared the same birth date and were promoted to glory on the same date five years later.


Rosie traveled the United States extensively being the wife of a Coast Guard Officer. She became involved in the itinerant evangelistic ministries of her son Frank, and daughter, Michelle in 1988, and continued to enjoy domestic and international travel.


Rosie was a retiree of the State of Illinois where she worked as a clerk for the comptroller, and was also an in-home caregiver. She enjoyed horseback riding and raised Siamese cats in her younger years, and continued to love all animals, especially cats. Funeral Information



A private family service and burial will be held at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations Information
