Obituary of Mary Lou Stroup

Mary Lou "MeMe" Stroup 54, of Carlinville, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at her residence. She was born Thursday, November 3, 1955 in Carlinville, IL, the Daughter of Darrell and Mildred (Mutzbauer) Stroup. Mary Lou graduated from Carlinville High School class of 1973. After graduation she became a licensed beautician and practiced in Carlinville for a few years. She was married to David Fullington on Nov. 24, 1973 in Carlinville and they later divorced. Mary Lou provided loving child care to many children in her home from 1982-2008. She was affectingly know as "MeMe" to her babysitting family and kids. She loved to shop and adored her son and daughter and especially her grandson. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and attended Charity Baptist Church in rural Carlinville. She is preceded in death by her parents. Surviving family member are: Son, Brandon Fullington of Carlinville, IL, Daughter, Kara Fullington of Carlinville, IL, Grandson, Gabriel Fullington, Sister, Kay Lott of Carlinville, IL, 2 Nephews. Funeral Information Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, July 9 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL. Funeral Services will be at 10:00A.M., Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to her parents in Charity Cemetery, rural Carlinville.
