Leah Striplin
54, of Carlinville died Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Leah was born December 31, 1957, at Scott Air Force Base near Belleville, IL, the daughter of Frank D. and Marlene (Thomas) Edwards. She married Dan Striplin on April 24, 1976, in Carlinville. Leah was preceded in death by her brother, Robb Edwards in 2006. Leah graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1976.
Leah had been the head housekeeper and activities director for Lake Williamson Christian Center for over 10 years. She presently was employed as a Therapist for Carlinville Chiropractic Center since 2006. She was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Carlinville and enjoyed reading and being a Grandmother.
Surviving is her husband, Dan D. Striplin, daughter Amanda Striplin of Palmyra, son Troy Striplin of Jacksonville 5 grandchildren, parents Frank D. and Marlene Edwards of Carlinville. Funeral Information
Friends and family may call Monday, January 23, 2012, 4:00 to 7:00 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 24, 2012, Davis-Anderson Funeral Home.
