Kenneth R. Stayton
90, of Carlinville, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
He was born in Carlinville, Illinois, the son of Kenneth and Pearl (Angelo) Stayton.
Kenneth attended West Fairview School in Bird Twsp. in Carlinville.
He married Hilda Hammann at her parents farm house on Dec. 1, 1946 and she passed away July 31, 2001. Kenneth later married Bernadine Bellm August 5, 2002 in Carlinville. She died March 28, 2010.
Kenneth served in the Army during WW #2 and after being discharged he engaged in farming in the Carlinville area until his retirement in 1982. Kenneth later worked for Konneker-Brown in the custodial department. Kenneth was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Guy Baird American Legion Post #554 who will fold the American flag and play taps at the graveside service. Kenneth served on the F.S. Elevator Board and delivered meals for "Meals On Wheels" for over 15 years.
Survivors: Daughter, Donna Kay Jacobs (Bill) of Rosewood Heights, IL, Son, Danny Ray Stayton of Gillespie, IL, and step--children, Granddaughter, Kimberly Anderson (Lonnie) of Westfield, IN, Great-Grandsons, Jacob & Gaberiel Anderson , Sister, Marcella Talley of Girard, IL, Sister, Oella Fullington of Carlinville, IL, Sister, Jean Klaus of Carlinville, IL, Brother, Dean Stayton (Helen) of Carlinville, IL, Sister, Betty LeRoy of Highland, IL,and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brother, Eldon "Jack" Stayton. Funeral Information
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, March 13 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL.
Funeral services will take place at 10:30 A.M., Monday, March 14, 2011 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home with Rev Robert Sabo officiating. Elner Ivers and Wendell Armour will provide the music.
Burial will be next to his wife, Hilda, in Charity Cemetery in rural Carlinville. Donations Information
