Obituary of Louise B. Spencer

Louise B. Spencer 104, of Carlinville, passed away Friday morning, May 11, 2012 at Friendship Home in Carlinville, IL. Louise was born on January 29, 1908 to John and Margaret Ann(Todt) Langen in Harvel, IL. She married Avery Spencer on April 20, 1938 at Saint Raymond Church in Raymond, IL and he preceded her in death on July 21, 1990. Louise was a homemaker, as well as a member of Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville. Louise is survived by her son, Robert Spencer of Leesburg, FL; 2 daughters, Audrey Costello of Carlinville and Lea Daugherty (Louie) of Springfield, IL; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Martha Nimke, brothers, John, Ralph and Albert Langen, sisters, Marie Murphy, Catherine Murphy, Irene Butler and Evelyn Jordan. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Monday, May 14, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville, with Rev. Angel Sierra officiating. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery. Donations Information Memorials are suggested to the Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled.
