Michael G. "Mickey" Smith
40, of Carlinville, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 19, 2012 at his residence in Carlinville.
Mickey was born on December 17, 1971 in Springfield, IL to Michael and Karen (Altmeyer) Smith.
Mickey worked in the construction industry for many years and recently became a master barber. Mickey was also the drummer for several bands, including Hard Drive and Cold Shot. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Mickey was Baptized Lutheran and was also a member of the VFW Men's Auxiliary in Litchfield.
Mickey is survived by his daughter, Katelynn M. Smith of Carlinville; parents, Michael G. Sr. and Karen S. Smith of Gillespie; sister, Michele "Mikie" Boston (Brian) of Carlinville and fiancée, Barbara Pingleton of Carlinville.
Mickey was preceded in death by his grandson, Abel James Mitchell. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Brandon officiating.
Burial will take place in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Carlinville. Donations Information
