Alita M. Santowski

of Girard, died Tuesday evening, February 2, 2010 as a result of a car accident North of Girard on Rt 4.

She was born Monday, December 5, 1966 in Olney, the Daughter of Hal and Opal (Niccum) Campbell. She married James Santowski in Decatur, IL on December 6, 1986.

Alita graduated from McArthur High School, class of 1984. She was Para Professional for Girard School District and worked with children from K-Second Grade.

Alita was a "stay at home mom until her boy's reached the age of 10. She enjoyed reading, gardening and was a great cook. Her speciality was wild game.

Alita was the "best wife and mother anyone could have".

She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Auburn, IL.
