Obituary of Susan Anita Marie Rice

Susan Anita Marie Rice 69 of Carlinville, passed away Saturday evening, December 13, 2014 at her residence in Carlinville, IL. Susan was born on November 18, 1945 to James and Florence (Rose) Fisk in Peoria, IL. On November 11, 1963 she married Richard W. Rice Jr. in Carlinville and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2002. Susan was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts and researching Indian cultures. Susan is survived by four sons, Michael Duane Rice of Hong Kong, China, David Eugene (Kathy) Rice of Carlinville, Richard W. (Regina) Rice, III of San Diego, CA and Dennis James Rice of Girard; daughter, Tammy Lynn (Derek) Otto of Carlinville; 15 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy Fisk of Pekin, IL and Joe Fisk of MO; three sisters, Theresa Levi of Bellview, IL, Birdi Fisk of Mapelton, IL and Linda Williamson of Mapelton, IL. Susan was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Donnie Rice in 2005; infant daughter, Anita Dean Rice; 1 brother and 6 sisters. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10:00 am at the funeral home in Carlinville with Rev. Cliff Woodman officiating. Burial will take place in Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
